Homeopathy: Prevention and treatment of Asthma

Have you, or someone you know, been diagnosed with asthma? If so, you probably have lot of questions. You may wonder, for example, just what asthma is? The medical definition of asthma is simple, but the condition itself is quite complex. What is Asthma?

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the lungs, characterized by wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and cough, which is estimated to affect more than 100 million people worldwide. Most people with asthma live full, active lives. The trick is learning to keep asthma under control. If you have asthma, you can try Homeopathic remedies to cure it.

Asthma affects people of all ages, backgrounds, and geographic locations. Although with each person it affects may have different symptoms, the effects are generally debilitating. Moreover, it is a severe and potentially fatal disease, to which no country is immune.

Despite the efforts to "reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with asthma, the disease appears to be on the rise, especially among children. It is a serious condition that may have a significant impact on a person's quality of life. The typical symptoms of an asthma attack are progressively worsening shortness of breath, cough, wheezing, and chest tightness, or a combination of these symptoms. The airways of someone with asthma are inflamed, to some degree; the more inflamed the more sensitive the airway becomes. This leads to an increase in breathing difficulty. Some people may also wake up at night with these symptoms.

During a short and relatively severe attack, the cough sounds tight and dry. Acute attacks may be accompanied by a rapid heartbeat tachycardia) and an abnormally rapid rate of breathing (tachypnea) that becomes increasingly labored, causing sweating and much anxiety and distress. The sufferer may wheeze loudly and may be unable to speak more than a few words without pausing for a breath.
